Our first year of collaboration with the Vicente Ferrer Foundation has been a success. We have started this school year with small but significant steps that will gradually contribute to transforming lives in India.
We have achieved 14 sponsorships, which is an important milestone that will improve living conditions and provide educational opportunities for underprivileged children in India, all from the village of Kotakonda. Families have already started receiving letters from these children, and a very exciting and special bond is beginning to form. We remind you that sponsorships are still open by writing to info@afacreanova.org. The goal is to reach 50 sponsorships for children from the same village who need it.
We are also happy to share that we have raised a total of 917 euros for the construction of a school in Anantapur, India. This has been possible thanks to the following initiatives:
- First Holi festival organized by AFA: 514 euros raised through the sale of colored powder.
Second Holi festival organized by the school: The school contributed 300 euros as a donation. Thank you for the support! - Donations from Middle school students: they contributed 103 euros, 20% of the sales made at the stalls they set up throughout the school year. Thank you for your generosity!
- We remind you that our goal is to raise 11,000 euros to make this project a reality, an amount we will reach by raising funds through various activities in the coming school years.
Although we could not carry out the educational trip this year, we are working to make it happen in the future, as we are sure it will be an unforgettable experience that will also allow us to meet the sponsored children.
Many thanks to everyone for participating and making these events a success!
