AFA has put a lot of effort in these first weeks of the year into making the collaboration project with the Vicente Ferrer Foundation a reality. At the beginning of January, the project was officially presented to families of all grades and to 1st and 2nd year Baccalaureate students, the first class that will have the opportunity to travel to India to learn in situ about the invaluable work and projects it carries out. out the entity. The presentation was given by Lancy Dodem, considered the first child sponsored by the Foundation, the school management and members of the AFA. We are the second school in the State to do a collaboration of this type!
Subsequently, eight young people from the 2nd year of Baccalaureate from the Montcau-La Mola school in Matadepera came to CreaNova to share experiences and emotions that they experienced during the 12-day trip they took to India last year with the help of the Foundation.
The young women and tutors who shared their testimonies provided examples and showed educational photos of up to 20 initiatives they visited, not only in the educational and health sectors but also in agriculture and many more: from schools for boys and girls, hospitals, training centers for nurses, a language school, a livestock project with buffaloes… A learning experience in a culturally different environment that allowed them to gain knowledge on how such centers are managed, how to address needs in a context of resource scarcity, and also everyday aspects or cultural contrasts that are unknown here, such as the stigmatization of albino children or widows. And an experiential learning that transforms those who have the opportunity to experience it firsthand, as they explained.
Now we move on to another phase of the project: soon we will start the sponsorship program. Stay tuned, families!
